Satellite MeetingsThe Edge Coordinating Committee (ECC) will convene a half day meeting just after the conclusion of the TTF meeting, on Friday, April 13, at the Loews hotel. The main purpose of this meeting is to discuss the status and plans for modeling activities which support US joint research in boundary and pedestal physics. Topics to be covered include (a) follow-on activities from prior Joint Research Targets covering scrape-off layer heat flux footprints and predictive capability for pedestal structure, (b) the 2013 JRT on stationary enhanced confinement regimes without ELMs (including regimes with both intrinsic and active ELM suppression) and (c) future pathways for the edge community, looking to 2013 and beyond. As in past ECC meetings, the focus will be on fostering communication between experimentalists and theorists, and between experts in different aspects of boundary and pedestal physics.
